Corthay wins World Championship in Patina!
It is with a great honor that we announce our two Corthay patina artists as the winners of the World’s Championship in Shoe Patina at the London Super Trunk Show 2022.
The Trunk Show is an annual event held by the leading shoe authorities TheShoeSnob and of ShoeGazing, that gather shoe lovers and professionals across the globe, and we are proud to have the world’s best patina artists amongst our team.

Patina art is an essential part of Corthay’s house codes, representing not only our identity but the heart and the soul, that are put into making a shoe. It is a jewel and an embellishment of Corthay shoes, made in a unique and distinctive technique, only applied by our patina artists, who highlight the natural silhouette of shoes. Following the inherent steps of shoe aging, we use both sublime and iridescent shades, that are achieved by hours of delicate handmade work and know-how. It is also a way to reflect one’s personality and character, using various shades and possibilities to decorate and enrich the shoe's design.
