During its 180 years of history, Dormeuil has been producing the finest fabrics on the planet, blending timeless British elegance with a touch of French flair. This exclusive collection is to mark Dormeuil SPORTEX®'s 100th Anniversary, the first “sports” cloth created by Dormeuil in 1922.

The company takes the name Dormeuil Frères and sets up its registered office at 4 rue Vivienne in Paris.
During its 180 years of history, Dormeuil has been producing the finest fabrics on the planet, blending timeless British elegance with a touch of French chic. With an undoubted reputation, Dormeuil is the choice of kings, presidents, Hollywood stars, and connoisseurs from all over the world.
Sportex® Fabric
Launched in 1922 for gentlemen’s outdoor activities, the Sportex® is a reliable, robust, pure twisted wool fabric woven in our mills in UK. Today, Sportex® can be found in a wide variety of trending international collections from top tailors to renowned designers. The fabric is also broadly studied in fashion schools worldwide.
From the very beginning, Sportex® established itself as one of the most liked fabrics.
Woven from pure wool, its robust and heavy element-defying construction weighed a hefty 600 grams making it ideal for outdoor sports. Durable and crease resistant while remaining comfortable it naturally became the first choice to all open-air activities’ enthusiasts.

CORTHAY x DORMEUIL
Corthay and Dormeuil make 1922 Sportex® material contemporary with this exclusive sneaker, upholding the sporty qualities of the textile while granting the sneaker a refined twist. The Carl has all the comfort attributes of a sneaker, and its intrinsic elegance is emphasized by the contrasted encounter of patina finished leather and Sportex®'s texture and subtile colours.
